Poor knitty noodle!

Poor knitty noodle...me!  Knitting has been on the back burner since I finished those socks a while back.  Quilting and garment sewing are what I have been up to.  Plus there's the garden that needs sorting out before winter comes; fall cleanup and all that.  My needles are currently silent, but I'm thinking it's time to pull out some yarn and start a project.  I've got a fabulous Noni bag pattern that needs to be made; tres chic!  I will need to dig out that pattern and post a picture for all to see.

3 down; 2 to go...

At long last, three pairs of socks completed.  Now I have two more pairs to knit which I have promised.

Last-minute Knitting Frenzy!!

Close to finishing another pair of socks.  Need to send these to Las Cruces, NM, hopefully before Christmas.  I only had to make two sets.  Oh why, oh why did I wait so long???

Magic Loop Socks

Currently working on a pair of socks using a Magic Loop pattern which I took a class for, to learn how.  Took the class a while back, maybe a couple of years ago?  Luckily, following the written instructions has worked out; there's always a little bit of panic when your teacher is not there to guide you through the confusing parts.  These are almost done and I'm ready to start another pair; Christmas gifts for my nieces.

Crochet Slippers

Found a really cute pair of crochet slippers pattern at mamachee.etsy.com.  Originally, I had downloaded a sewn ballet-type slipper pattern and promised to make slippers for sis, sis-in-law, nieces; however, bad news...disastrous results!  Important to honor promises made so went in search of a slipper that they all might like for in the meantime until I work out the kinks of the sewn slipper.  Tah dah!  mamachee's Oma Slippers as listed in etsy.com.  I just received the pattern and will get out my yarn and hook to start right away.  I think this will be a winner.  Will post results when done with first pair.

Basic Socks - Finished At Last!

Last posted in August 2010 after finishing sock #1.  Now I am done with #2 and can dig into my yarn bag to start a new pair.  It's been slow-going, but fast or slow, knitting is still devine.

Knitty Noodle is Back

Project - Basic Socks.  Just finished sock #1 using doublepointed needles and self-striping sock yarn.  This one was on the back burner for months and months, knitting needles having been set aside for Knitty Noodle's sewing machine.  In July 2010, sold a house, bought a house.  Thus this month (August), all things have been boxed up for the move except the knitting needles and a bit of yarn.  Glad I kept them out (for sanity's sake)...to knit is devine.  Ready to cast on sock #2 and then I'll have a pair; maybe a Christmas present, maybe for me.
