Knitted Sock Monkeys

So sweet. These two monkeys were finished in time for Christmas 2018 giving. The girlies loved them, which made this Knitty Noodle grandma very happy. Natalie picked the rainbow while Chloe wanted sleepy eyes with lashes.

Pretty Pansies Afghan

Pretty Pansies pattern from Leisure Arts Presents Afghans for All Seasons. Pansies: Red Heart Yarn worsted weight yarn, various colors; Background: Caron One Pound worsted weight acrylic yarn, Cream. I started this afghan literally years ago, shortly before my mom passed away (that's 10+ years). Time flies by so quickly; it's a commitment of mine to finish this blanket in 2018. Required: 54 squares; currently completed 21. It's been such a long-term, backburner project...sigh. The squares don't take long to crochet, so I hope to make good progress or possibly even finish before the first quarter of the year.

Slouchy Cowl

Slouchy Cowl on me
It can be warm outside, especially here in Temecula, CA, located just north of San Diego, even during winter months, but inside the Casita, we tend to keep a cool-temperature house, generally speaking. Just finished this Slouchy Cowl, seen on me serving its purpose, to fight the chill and keep my shoulders warm. I downloaded this simple cowl by Nina, A Well-knit Shop; ninachicago.com. Quick and easy to knit using Size 17 jumbo needles and bulky yarn; the twist of the cowl was made after knitting, when it was seamed together. I used two strands of Lion Brand Yarn, Nature's Choice Organic Cotton (color Olive), worked together as one strand. Nice and warm, I like it!
