Slow sock progress...

At last, I've turned the heel on this sock!  In truth, I made the cuff shorter than called for in the pattern, by almost half, for fear of running out of yarn and also to hurry this one along.  There's still the second sock to be done and I so want to be done with these Peaks 'n Valleys!

Mmmmm! Bonbons!

Picked up a couple of packages of Lion Brand Bonbons while they were on sale at JoAnn's.  These assorted bright colors will make a bunch of cheerful knit and crochet flowers, for embellishing my sewing and craft projects.

Crocheted hanging baskets

Two crocheted hanging baskets for my sewing room wall.  Each of these only took a few hours to make, from start to finish.

The beekeeper's quilt (Ravelry)

Here's bits and pieces of mine in the making for the Beekeeper's Quilt found on Ravelry, www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-beekeepers-quilt.  I only have a handful of hexagons completed, using up leftover sock-weight yarn.  It's one of those on-going, quickie knit projects that'll actually take me a boatload of time to complete when all is said and done, mainly because I need so many hexagons to make a full quilt.  Instead, maybe I'll make a small doggie cushion for Henry; he'd like that.  Very satisfying to knit and stuff these little puffs!

What's up, Knitty Noodle?

Oh those backburner UFOs!  Not too bad, actually.  I've got a sock pattern a knittin' on skinny double points.  Don't know why I side-tracked on these, but today I am back at it.  Then there's the rust-colored chunky cardigan that's sitting waiting for more pieces to be completed.  I am using Lion Brand Chunky Wool Ease to make this sweater.  So far, the back is done and now I need to get knitting on the two front pieces, and then the sleeves.  There's been a lot of garment sewing being done at the Casita, that's why the lapse; however, with the change of the season, my thoughts have drifted back to knitting and crochet.  Not too bad; just two unfinished projects on the table.  These will be done before Christmas I do declare.
